Who We Are
I've been doing electrical work since 2008 — starting out with electrical contractors across Central Pennsylvania and learning the trade from the ground up. Over the years I worked on everything from residential panels to commercial projects, developing the experience and instincts that come from doing this work every single day.
In 2021 I started Steel Fox EV & Electric because I saw a real gap in the market. EV adoption was accelerating fast, but most electricians either weren't certified to install chargers correctly or weren't focused on doing it well. Homeowners were getting subpar installs from general contractors who'd never done one before.
I wanted to be the person in Central PA that EV owners could actually trust — someone who knew the equipment, held the certifications, and took pride in every install. My wife helps keep the business running, and together we treat every customer the way we'd want to be treated.
That approach hasn't changed since day one.
The Name
My parents almost named me Steel — they liked it but went another direction. I always did too. And Fox? That's an old English meaning of the name Todd. Put them together and it felt right: strong, sharp, and genuinely ours.
