A NEMA 14-50 is a 240V, 50-amp outlet — the same type used for RVs and large appliances. Most EVs come with a mobile connector that plugs directly into one, making it a cost-effective option for home charging without a hardwired charger.

This is a great entry-level solution for new EV owners or renters who want flexibility. We install them in garages, driveways, and carports — all to code and fully inspected.

Before any EV charger installation, we assess your existing electrical panel. Many Central PA homes — especially older ones — have panels that weren't designed to handle the additional load of a Level 2 charger. Installing one anyway isn't just a code violation; it's a safety hazard.

If your panel needs an upgrade, we handle it — so you only need one contractor. We do it all in a single visit when possible.
